Exterminators keep ants away with no pesticides

 

It's very difficult for ants to servive in this area because it's on a Slope down.

The gravel doesn't allow moisture to stay long enough to decay to be conducive to nest. 

Ants love that tile. I would gravel it or get rid of it


Plastic barriers will retain moisture for long time being conducive for ants to nest.

The retaining wall will attract ants not alot you can do about but the debris like the garden fertilizer bagged will nest under it.

Gravel the interior perimeter of the raised bed

Gravel the tile

The fence touches the house.
The grass on the foundation and the fence is suspect.

Any areas that are going to hold moisture long enough like in the pictures is considered a moisture barriers that will attract  ants. The video is a good example below.

Ants are attracted

 Moisture barriers  need to be gravelled to keep them dry.

Gravelling the foundation from the dirt will prevent ants nest. Slope the dirt away from the foundation. 

Seal cracks in the pavers close to the house. 


Avoid vegetation contact on building

The lighting cords are attached to the fence and house. Giving the ants easy access to the house.

Raised beds are known to have ants around the perimeter.  2 inches around the perimeter of the will keep it dry and avoid ants
